Hansen, Kohls, Sommer & Jacob, LLP conducts a practice emphasizing business and insurance litigation, professional liability, legal ethics counseling and appellate advocacy. The firm carries forward a 28-year tradition of excellence in the service of its clients, the legal profession, and the community at large. Hansen, Kohls, Sommer & Jacob, LLP is well known for its traditional commitment to service to the public, bench and bar. Members of the firm have borne substantial responsibility in areas relating to judicial selection, the revamping of California's attorney discipline system, the creation of a professional malpractice plan for the 225,000 members of the State Bar of California, and the rules governing practice before California's trial and appellate courts. All members of the firm participate in continuing legal education, academic and professional writing, and ethics/risk avoidance consulting for other firms.
